SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT OF TAUNTON DEANE PARISH OF WEST MONKTON Temporary Closure of Footpaths T 32/10 and T 10/21 TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has approved an extension to the above Order for a period of twelve months from 13 March 2018 to 13 March 2019 or until the completion of the works whichever is earlier.
The original Order came into effect on 13 September 2013 at the request of Redraw Homes as the site is being developed. The Order PROHIBITS ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding footpaths T 32/10 and T10/21 from Brittons Ash for a distance of approximately 800 metres to its junction with the county road due to the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the site is being developed.
