Notice of Making a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980
Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset County Council (Part of Bridleway 8, Puncknowle at Parks Farm) Public Path Diversion Order 2018
The above order, made on 12 January 2018 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Bridleway 8, Puncknowle at Parks Farm, in the West Dorset District as shown on the order map as follows:-From the existing way:
From the unaffected part of Bridleway 8, west of Parks Farm at SY 55338884, east north east across a field to SY 55398885, then curving south east and then east, passing through a cheese factory, to its junction with the D11902 public road, west of Parks Farm House at the Long Bredy parish boundary at SY 55488881. (No recorded width). To a new way:
From the unaffected part of Bridleway 8, west of Parks Farm at SY 55338884, east south east across a field to SY 55408882, then curving south and east, following the edge of a bank and passing to the south of Parks Farm to SY 55478876, turning north to SY 5548188774, then east, to its junction with the D11902 public road, south west of Parks Farm House at the Long Bredy parish boundary at SY 5548888775. The width of this part of Bridleway 8 is 4 metres. Limitation: Bridle gate at SY 5548888775 to BS5709:2006.
A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.00. Copies are also available on our website at www.dorsetforyou.gov.uk/row-orders. Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Vanessa Penny, Regulation Team Leader, Dorset Highways, Environment and the Economy Directorate, Dorset County Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ (Ref: RW/P160) not later than 23 February 2018. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Any letters received will be made available for public inspection. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Dorset County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order. Temporary Closure of Haye Lane, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14  of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HAYE LANE, LYME REGIS from the junction with St Georges Hill to its junction with Haye Gardens, a distance of approximately 35 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 29th January 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9th February 2018.
This order will enable South West Water safe access to manholes to line 100m of sewer in the highway.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Haye Lane - B3165 - Lyme Road - Haye Lane.
