Notice of Confirmation of a Modification Order Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset County Council County of Dorset Definitive Map and Statement of Rights of Way Dorset County Council (Restricted Byway and Footpath, Stoke Abbott at Higher Farm) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2017
On 15 September 2017 Dorset County Council confirmed (without modification) the above named order as unopposed. The effect of the order as confirmed will modify the definitive map and statement for the area in the parish of Stoke Abbott, in the West Dorset District by adding to them: Restricted Byway at Stoke Abbott: (To be numbered Restricted Byway 46) From its junction with the C77 road at Higher Farm at ST 45130033, south west
along a tarmac surfaced path, passing to the west of farm buildings to its junction with the proposed new Footpath (to be numbered as part of Footpath 14) at ST 45120031. Width: 11 metres at ST 45130033, narrowing to 7 metres at ST 45120031.
Footpath at Stoke Abbott: (To be numbered as part of Footpath 14) From its junction with proposed Restricted Byway 46, south west of Higher Farm at ST 45120031, south west along a tarmac surfaced path, for a distance of 7.27 metres, to its junction with Footpath 14 at ST 45110030. Width: 7 metres. Limitations: Field gates at ST 45120031 and ST 45110030.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.00. Copies are also available on our website at www.dorsetforyou.com/row-orders. The order came into effect on 15 September 2017. If any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, you may within six weeks from 12 October 2017, make an application to the High Court. Temporary Closure of B3163, Storridge Hill, Whitcombe Road, Beaminster
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14  of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3163, Storridge Hill, Whitcombe Road from its junction with Prout Hill to its junction with Hackthorn Hill, a distance of approximately 2385 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 17th October 2017 and 25th October 2017 between 0930 and 1530 and will remain in force for 18 months. The road will be open outside of these times and also over the weekend. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above. The closure is also weather dependant. Even though the dates above coincide only one road will be closed at any one time. But it will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works. BT will also be carrying out overhead cabling works at this location during the last 3 days of these works for a new customer connection. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
