THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (LOCAL PLANNING) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2012 PURBECK DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN ADOPTION OF THE SWANAGE LOCAL PLAN DEVELOPMENT PLAN DOCUMENT Notice is hereby given in accordance with Regulations 26 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended), that the Swanage Local Plan was formally adopted by Purbeck District Council on 13 June 2017. The Swanage Local Plan now forms part of the Purbeck District Local Plan, and covers the period to 2027. The plan sets out a vision for Swanage and provides the strategy for the delivery of development and supporting infrastructure within Swanage. Any person aggrieved by the Swanage Local Plan may make an application to the High Court under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. Any challenge must be made on the grounds that either the Swanage Local Plan is not within the appropriate powers conferred by Part 2 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, or that a procedural requirement of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 or its associated Regulations has not been complied with. Any such application must be made no later than the end of the six week challenge period, which ends on 11 September 2017. The adopted Swanage Local Plan, Adoption Statement and Sustainability Appraisal Report are available to view online at www.dorsetforyou.gov.uk/swanage-local-plan. The Swanage Local Plan can also be viewed at the following locations during their normal opening times: at the District Council offices at Westport House in Wareham; at Swanage Library; and at Swanage Town Council offices.
