Temporary Closure of Barn Meads Road
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Bam Meads Road - from the junction outside 145 to outside 136 for a distance of 48 metres. This Order will enable Avonline to carry out trenching and laying of infrastructure works on behalf of Gigaclear. The Order becomes effective on 10th March 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 14th March 2022 and last until 18th March 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
