District of Somerset West and Taunton Temporary Closure of Footway between Hoyles Road and Monument Close, Wellington
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all Pedestrian traffic from proceeding along Footway Between Hoyles Road and Monument Close - from the junction with Hoyles Road, westwards for a total distance of 26 metres. This Order will enable Avonline on behalf of Gigaclear to carry out trenching works and laying of infrastructure.
The Order becomes effective on 10 March 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 17th March 2022 and last until 21st March 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements. b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
