ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 1. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, MALMESBURY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2022 2. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (MILL LANE, MALMESBURY) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022 3. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (MILL LANE, MALMESBURY) (WIDTH RESTRICTION) ORDER 2022
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, for administrative purposes to coincide with that on the ground, the effect of which will be as follows: Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Malmesbury) (20mph Zone) Order 2000 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 1 the effect of which is to remove the current description for Mill Lane and to replace with Mill Lane - from its junction with Abbey Row to its junction with Station Road Car Park. Order 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Mill Lane, Malmesbury) (One Way Traffic) Order 1999 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 the effect of which is to amend the current Article to specify motor vehicles and to remove the current description and replace with Mill Lane - from a point 67 metres north east of its junction with Abbey Row to its junction with Station Road Car Park. Order 3 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Mill Lane, Malmesbury) (Width Restriction) Order 1999 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 3 the effect of which is to amend the current Article to prohibit vehicles exceeding 5' 0" (1.6 metres) and to remove the current description and replace with Mill Lane - from a point 67 metres north east of its junction with Abbey Row to its junction with Station Road Car Park. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Old Hospital Road (Part), Pewsey; from its junction with Vale Road for approximately 100m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out section 81 defects and associated works. Alternative route eastbound via Old Hospital Road (unaffected length) -Marlborough Road - Wilcot Road - Vale Road. Alternative route westbound via Vale Road - C52 -Marlborough Road - Old Hospital Road (unaffected length). B) C121 (Part), Broad Hinton; from outside its property known as 2 Dunsford Farm Cottage for approximately 30m in a westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out bridge reconstruction works. This Order will come into operation on 14 March 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 06 May 2022. Alternative route via C101 (unaffected length) - C99 - C76 - C90 - C101 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 February 2022 and the closure will be required for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 23 February 2022 and the closure will be required for 1 day. F) Lottage Road (Part), Aldbourne; from its junction with Kandahar for approximately 180m in a northern direction to enable Thames Water to clean/CCTV/install 5 no top hats and patch liner ends CW no excavation and associated works. Alternative route via Lottage Road (unaffected length), Oxford Street, B4192, C29, Ermin Way and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 February 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 5 days. No alternative route is available. This Order which previously came into operation on 29 September 2021 will now recommence on 21 February 2022 and the closure will be required for 2 days. This Order which previously came into operation on 18 May 2021 will now recommence on 21 February 2022 and the closure will be required for 5 days. K) C414 (Part), Purton; from its junction with Mud Lane for a distance of approximately 110 metres in a Southerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out laying a mains reinforcement. This Order which previously came into operation on 14 June 2021 will now recommence on 19 February 2022 and the closure will be required until 27 February 2022. Orders A) to F) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Orders G) to K) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
