Temporary Closure of Halse Road and Fitzhead Road
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Halse Road - from the junction with Wiveliscombe Road, northwards for a distance of 546 metres; and Fitzhead Road - from the junction with Halse Road, north westwards for a distance of 1954 metres for a total distance of 2500 metres. This Order will enable TLU Contracts to carry out works to clear blockages on behalf of BT Openreach. The Order becomes effective on 2nd December 2021 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 6th December 2021 and last until 12th December 2021 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 7 days.

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
