Somerset County Council District of Somerset West and Taunton Parish of Wellington Temporary Closure of Hoyles Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Hoyles Road - from the junction with Wellington Relief Road (A38) north and eastwards for 200 metres, south eastwards for a total distance of 160 metres. This Order will enable Avonline to carry out trenching and laying of infrastructure works. The Order becomes effective on 30th September 2021 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 4th October 2021 until 8th October 2021 between the hours of (00:00 - 23:59) for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and business directly to discuss access arrangements.
