The County of Dorset (Various Roads, Walditch) (30 mph Speed Limit) (No.1) Order 2021
Dorset Council has made an Order under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
When the Order comes into operation on Friday 9 April 2021 the effect of the Order will be to change the speed limit to 30mph on various roads in Walditch. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, it is not possible for Dorset Council to have documents on deposit for individuals to view at County Hall. If anyone wants further information please contact us by emailing

or by calling us on 01035 221000 and ask to be put through to the Regulation Team and someone from the team will be happy to discuss the Order and send documents if required.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of St James, Beaminster
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from parking along St JAMES, BEAMINSTER between the junction of B3163 Broadwindsor Road and St James junction, a distance of approximately 95 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 12 April 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 April 2021.
This Order will enable Wessex Water, to accommodate temporary traffic signals to ensure safe access to install a new water main along St James, Beaminster.
