SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 NOTICE OF INTENT TO INTRODUCE A CYCLE TRACK ON WESTERN WAY, BRIDGWATER Notice is hereby given that Somerset County Council in accordance with Sections 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980 propose a cycle link on Western Way, Bridgwater.

SCHEDULE Provision of a Cycle Track The cycle track on Western Way will be 3 metres wide and commence from public footpath BW38/2. The existing verge will be a shared, unsegregated footway/cycleway 99 metres in length.

parking-and-transport/road-works/tro. Any person requiring further information regarding the above scheme should make such a request in writing, quoting reference number KT30072020 to Somerset County Council, Traffic Management, County Hall, Taunton TA1 4DY.

STATEMENT OF REASONS The proposed footway conversion will create a safer environment for cycling and encourage more people to walk and cycle to local destinations.
