Notice of Coming into Operation of a Public Path Diversion Order Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Section 257
WEST DORSET DISTRICT COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.14, PARISH OF MOSTERTON) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2019 On 23rd July 2019 Dorset Council confirmed the above named order made under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order Is to divert that length and the whole width of Footpath 14, Mosterton, running from the junction of footpath 14 with the highway D10305 at point A, (Ordnance Survey "OS") OS grid reference ST 4529 0488, in northerly direction for 46 metres to point B, OS grid reference ST 4529 0493, then continuing in a north-easterly direction for 136 metres to point C, OS grid reference ST 4541 0499, then continuing in a north-north-westerly direction for 76 metres to point D, OS grid reference ST 4537 0505, to a line running from point E, OS grid reference ST 4528 0488, a point on the highway number D10305, in a northerly direction on a two metre wide tarmac footway for 62 metres to point F, OS grid reference ST 4527 0494, then continuing at a width of two metres in an east-north-easterly direction on a tarmac footway for 68 metres to point G, OS grid reference ST 4533 0498, then continuing at a width of two metres in a north-easterly direction crossing the road and running on a tarmac path in a north-westerly direction for 45 metres to point H, OS grid reference ST 4531 0502, then continuing at a width of four metres in a generally north then east-north-easterly direction on a path with a grass surface for 77 metres to point D, OS grid reference ST 4537 0505, the aforementioned point on public footpath 14, Mosterton. Notice of the confirmation of the Order was advertised on 2nd August 2019 and had the effect of creating the new section of path at Mosterton.
On 7th July 2020 Dorset Council certified that the work necessary to bring the new section of the path into a fit condition for use by the public had been carried out, thereby stopping up the old section of path. The diversion is now complete and operational. JONATHAN MAIR Date: 16th July 2020
