Somerset County Council (Various Roads Stoke St Gregory) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) (Special Events) Order 2019 (Stoke Stampede) Notice is hereby given that on 13"1 day of December 2019 Somerset County Council made the above order, Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 5th day of December 2019 to introduce a temporary prohibition of vehicles in the road specified in Schedule to this Order. The Order comes into effect on the 19th day of December 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months.
The event is expected to take place on the 5th day of January 2020 between the hours of 10:30 to 13:00 and is in the interest of public safety. Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles, and any vehicles associated with the event.

Statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works
