NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 AND WILDLIFE AND

COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL MELKSHAM 92 EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND

STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2019

The above order, made on 4 November 2019, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the entire width and length of Footpath no. 92 Melksham, leading from Spa Road at, OSGR ST 9108-6319, in a north-easterly direction for approximately 7m to OSGR ST 9109-6319, continuing in a south-easterly direction for approximately 38m, at OSGR ST 9112-6317 as shown on the order plan. If confirmed the order will also have the effect of modifying the Melksham Urban District Council Area definitive map and statement dated 1953 accordingly. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Rights of Way and Countryside, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN, from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5. Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to A Roberts, Rights of Way Officer, at the above address, not later than 5pm on Friday 13 December 2019. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Wiltshire Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Lower Woodrow (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with Bridleway MELW55 to its junction with Forest Road; B) Forest Road, Melksham Without and Lacock; from its junction with Lower Woodrow to its junction with Bowden Hill to enable Openreach to carry out cabling for new service, access to overhead network. Alternative route: via Bowden Hill - The Wharf - Hither Way - Melksham Road - Chapel Hill - Cantax Hill - A350 - Semington Road - King Street -A3102 - Forest Road - Woodrow Road - Lower Woodrow (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 13 December 2019. B3108 Winsley Bypass (Part), Winsley;

from its junction with Hartley to its junction with Winsley Road to enable Tarmac to carry out carriageway hand patching and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via B3108

(unaffected length) - A363 - B3109 - B3107 -

B3105 - B3106 - Elizabeth Way - A361 - A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 0:00 until 14 December 2019 between the hours

the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: E) Warleigh Lane, Monkton Farleigh; from its junction with Haugh for a distance of approximately 660 metres in a northerly direction to enable Tilhil to carry out tree felling adjacent to the highway. Alternative route: via Out of County - A363 - Ashley Green - Haugh and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 November 2019 and the closure will be required until 22 November 2019. maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
