Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order
Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Dorset County Council (Footpath 12, Marshwood at Yard Farm) Public Path Diversion Order 2015

On 27 September 2019 Dorset Council confirmed the above named order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed and the Council has certified that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public. The effect of the order as confirmed is to will divert Footpath 12, Marshwood at Yard Farm as shown on the order map as follows:-
From the existing path:
From its junction with Yard Lane, north north west of Yard House and south west of farm buildings at SY 42329957, east north east through the farmyard, then east south east through a farm building and slurry pit and across a field to its junction with Footpath 27, Stoke Abbott at the Stoke Abbott parish boundary at SY 42459952. (No recorded width).
To the new path:
From its junction with Yard Lane, south south west of Yard House at SY 42319947, south, crossing into the north western corner of a field at SY 42329947, then east north east across the field to its junction with Footpath 27, Stoke Abbott at the Stoke Abbott parish boundary at SY 42459952. Width: 2 metres. Limitation: Pedestrian gate at SY 42329947 to BS5709:2006.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.00. Copies are also available on our website at

The order comes into force on 4 October 2019 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 24 October 2019, make an application to the High Court.

Notice of Making a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Dorset Council (Part of Footpath 50, Marshwood at Higher Sminhay Farm) Public Path Diversion Order 2019
The above order, made on 4 October 2019 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Footpath 50, Marshwood as shown on the order map as follows:-
From the existing path:
From its junction with Mutton Street at Higher Sminhay Farm at SY 38799911, east, passing between buildings to the field boundary at SY 38829912 and continuing east north east across the field to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 50, north east of Higher Sminhay Farm at SY 38879914. (No recorded width).
To the new path:
From its junction with Mutton Street, south south east of Higher Sminhay Farm at SY 38829907, east entering a field, then north east along the edge of the field to SY 38839908 and north to SY 38829909. Continue north east, across a track at SY 38849910, across a second field and track at SY 38869913, then north east across a third field to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 50, north east of Higher Sminhay Farm at SY 38879914. The width of this part of Footpath 50 is 2.5 metres between 38829907 and SY 38849910 and 2 metres between SY38849910 and SY 38879914. Limitations: Pedestrian gates at 38829907 andSY38849910toBS5709:2018.

not later than 22 November 2019. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Any letters received will be made available for public inspection.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Dorset Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
