Somerset County Council Parish of Wiveliscombe Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles

Notice is hereby given that on Friday 9th day of August 2019 Somerset County Council made the above order in exercise of its powers in the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 1st day of August 2019 to introduce a temporary prohibition of vehicles in the roads specified in Schedule to this Order. The Order comes into effect on the 15th day of August 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The restrictions will apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Schedule Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles Milverton Road, Wiveliscombe - From its junction with Lanford Budville Road for a distance of 700 metres in a south westerly then westerly direction. The proposed date of the closure is 26* of August 2019 for 10 days. This order will enable Gigaclear to carry out a rolling programme of underground cabling works with clearing of potential duct (pipe) blockages in this road.

a) Because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
