FURTHER to the news item about the Bridport and District Citizens Advice Bureau in last week’s edition, may I make a correction?
I have not taken on the key role of treasurer, but I am an active trustee attempting to make a useful contribution to this vital local charity.
I am pleased to say that at the most recent meeting of the trustees we were pleased to elect Steve Godfrey as both a trustee and our new treasurer, and we look forward to working with him in the future.
As your article made clear, the CAB performs a very important role in our local area, including our outreach in Lyme Regis, and we depend upon the very considerable efforts of our volunteers both as advisers, administrative staff and as trustees.
We are always welcoming to anyone who would like to become a volunteer and will be letting you know in future editions of the Bridport and Lyme Regis News about some of our work for the local community.
