On Sunday, October 12, at the Nothe Fort Weymouth, fort artillery volunteers fired the ashes of Derek Chatting, late of the Royal Artillery from the barrel of a 19th century six pounder cannon.

The Nothe Fort Artillery, under the leadership of Paul Merry, owner of the Codfather, are looking for new volunteers between the ages of 13 and 80, sponsorship, and opportunities to provide displays of cannon firing at weddings, funerals, births, and other events.

Sponsorship consists of the Nothe Fort Artillery producing banners for a fee, which display your organisations logo and contact details.

As part of the sponsorship arrangement these banners are then displayed at outside events such as weddings funerals births etc.
