May I through the good offices of The Bridport and Lyme Regis News, extend my thanks and gratitude to all the artists who gave their time and talents when performing at the Event 5 Charity Music Festival last Saturday.
The day marked the fifth festival and it was lovely to see so many people enjoying the 23 acts for the price of £5. My role, which included recruiting, soliciting and cajoling performers was made pleasurable by their willingness and professional approach to the call.
Bridport has always rightly portrayed itself as a caring and charitable town and the artists who played last Saturday emphasised the fact that they play a vital key role in the heart and spirit of the town.
It would be remiss of me to single out any one act so I applaud them all equally and thank them sincerely for giving their time and talents so freely. Thank you.
Chris Deacon
Event 5 music co-ordinator
