THE Bees were back to their best at Days Park as they registered their first win of the season in the Magna Dorset Premier League.

Tristan Gale put the visitors in front with a header from Michael Hailu’s free-kick before substitute Jack Scovell and the industrious Carl Bul-man stretched the advantage shortly after the break.

The Swans then pulled one back on 70 minutes but a fine team move ended with Harry Fleet restoring the visitors’ three-goal advantage just moments later.

The hosts did go on to grab another consolation in the dying minutes but Bridport joint-boss Steve Crabb was more than happy with his side’s performance.

He said: “That was 100 per cent better than the previous week at Holt Un-ited.

“We had a few players back and we returned to the way we have been playing over the last couple of years.

“Tristan put us in front and we could have been two or three up by half- time.

“Jack then came on for the injured Dominic Rowe and grabbed the second after the break before Carl got the third with a great goal.

“We then let them back in it and at 3-1 with 20 minutes to go you just never know but thankfully we put together a great team move to grab a fourth through Harry.

“That strike was very important and overall I was very happy with the overall performance.”

Bees: Fry, Day, Stordy, Rowe (Scovell 46), C Bulman, Steele, Cummings, Fleet, Hailu, A Clarke (Farley 83), Gale (Williams 55).
