BRIDPORT boss Adam Fricker is aiming to “kick on” as the Bees ready themselves for the visit of Brislington to St Mary’s Field in the Toolstation Western Premier Division on Saturday (3pm).

Fricker’s men have failed to pick up a victory in their past three games but did beat Shepton Mallet 2-1 in their most recent home league game.

And now the Bridport number one is looking to climb the standings with his side currently sitting in 12th, two places above the Foxes.

He told the Bridport News: “We have still got a couple of games in hand. It will be good to try and push up a little bit further, that’s for sure.

“We’re hoping that we can kick on and start to really cement ourselves in the top half, in the top 10, which will be good for us.

“We have had two tough games against Buckland and Melksham. It’s probably shown to us that on our day we are capable to being a top six team but we haven’t got that consistency.”

Fricker is striving for three points against a “physical” Brislington side, and says his team came through training “unscathed” in preparation for the clash.

He said: “We know it’s going to be a tough game. Brislington are always a strong, physical side. We’ll be looking to go for the three points – I see no reason why we shouldn’t.

“The squad is looking good and we trained well. Everyone came through that unscathed.”

Bridport are boosted by the return of Louis Rutter and Kameron Andrews to the squad.
