BRIDPORT manager Adam Fricker is looking for a reaction as his side host Longwell Green Sports on Saturday (3pm).

Last week saw the Bees beaten 3-0 away at Melksham, and Fricker is keen to keep the defeat in perspective.

He said: “The team are fine, we knew it was going to be tough at Melksham and we had a depleted squad so from our perspective the attitude, desire and heart that the boys showed was fantastic really. On a different day the result could have gone a different way.

“For us, we’ll be looking to take all of that into Saturday against a team who are just below us in the league.

“We played them up at their place and beat them 3-0 and they’ll be a physical team. They seem to have picked up a few results recently so whether they’ve got a few new bodies in or not I don’t know, but from our perspective we just need to concentrate on what we’re doing and not make silly mistakes.

“One thing we know is that offensively we create chances and get at teams. We’re just hoping to expose them and get at them and create chances when we get them.”

The Bees’ boss confirmed that he is expecting Andy Martin, Ed Butcher and Leigh Bailey to return, while also expecting new signing Sam Buckler to feature, something which Fricker says will boost his side.

He said: “We’ve got key players coming back in, which is massive. Also we’ll be introducing Sam, who we know was a big player for us at the beginning of last season before he signed for Christchurch, so it’ll be good to get him back involved.”
