ADAM Fricker admitted Saturday’s game against Bitton has some added pressure as his Bridport side look to get back to winning ways in the league.

Last time out, the Bees succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Melksham Town last weekend – their first defeat in four games.

But, Bitton sit below Fricker’s men with just two wins from 15 games to their name.

Because of this, the manager is well aware of the expectation on his side.

He said: “Going to any team outside the top eight, the expectation is that we can go and get something.

“Away from home you have to look to get at least a point and at home we need to start putting some points on the board.

“We have to start getting the points that our performances deserve.”

Speaking about his opponents, Fricker added: “Looking at their results, they have picked up.

“They got a good point against Willand on Tuesday and they beat Clevedon on Saturday.

“So, we know it’s going to be tough. But, we have to keep doing what we have been doing. Like we did on Saturday, if we need to keep grinding out those performances then we will be alright.

“The lads are buzzing, they are confident.”

Louis Rutter and Braeden Symes are set to miss Saturday’s game.

The rest of the squad had to get through last night’s Dorset Senior Cup tie against Swanage Town & Herston with a few players rested so they were fresh for the all-important fixture against Bitton.
