BRIDPORT manager Adam Fricker has set his sights on a top-10 finish as he prepares for his first season in charge at St Mary’s Field.

Fricker took over the Bees last month but has already had positive talks with most of the existing Toolstation Western League squad.

Now, as he turns his attention to pre-season which starts on Tuesday, June 28, the boss is looking to improve on last season’s display and feels he already has a squad capable of doing just that.

He said: “I think with the players we already have and with the others that are coming in, our expectations should be to finish in the top 10. We know we are going to be competitive, we are going to give it everything we’ve got.

“We know we need a good start and if we string some results together then who knows what we can do.”

No contracts have been signed at the club yet, however, this is something that isn’t worrying Fricker.

He added: “We won’t put pen to paper until we get the players together, and I can’t wait to get started.

“The club and myself are on the same page taking the club forward. We want to make sure there is good communication between every side at Bridport, and we’re getting that.

“We are in talks with a few players and that’s ongoing. We want to finalise those soon.”
