BRIDPORT go in search of back-to-back victories in the Toolstation Western League this evening, but boss Trevor Senior knows his team will be up against it when they travel to Willand Rovers (7.30pm).
Senior was away for his side’s weekend win over Clevedon, but after following updates and gaining some feedback from assistant Mark Carter, was pleased to hear that his charges got back to winning ways.
Reflecting on the weekend triumph, he said: “We played some good football in difficult conditions apparently, which was pleasing to hear.
“There are going to be quite a few changes from Saturday to Wednesday though.”
Matt Condliffe, Tom Richardson and Chris Senior are all unavailable tonight but Ryan Dovell and Warren Byerley are set to take their place in the Bridport squad.
Manager Senior is also hoping that Sean Stewart will be ready for selection after suffering from illness.
Speaking about Willand, who beat the Bees 2-0 at St Mary’s Field in November, the Bridport boss added: “They are a good side and when they played us at home earlier in the season I was impressed with them.
“They are quick, get the ball forward with support from midfield and caused us a few problems.
“Willand is a place where I don’t remember picking up too many points in the past. It will be nice to break that hoodoo.
“They are a decent side and, if I was offered a point before the game, I would probably take it.”
