TREVOR Senior has not applied for the vacant hot-seat at Weymouth but reckons it is “a good job for someone”.

The Bridport boss had a short spell as manager of the Terras back in 1995 and believes the potential at the club is still there despite the difficulties the club has faced over the last few years.

Senior’s name often gets linked whenever there is a managerial vacancy at the Terras or near-neighbours Dorchester Town, but he is more than happy with life at St Mary’s Field at the moment, and has not applied for this latest opportunity.

When asked to comment on the Weymouth job, he said: “It is always nice to be linked with these things, although I’m not sure I really have been this time, and having managed there myself many years ago, I know what potential the club has.

“There has always been that expectancy there, it has a great fan-base and it always gets decent support.

“There is always a lot of interest in the club too, so it’s no surprise there are a lot people interested in taking it on.

“I am more than happy at Bridport and haven’t applied myself, but it is certainly a good job for someone.”
