DECEMBER was always going to be huge month for Bridport but it has now got even bigger, according to Trev-or Senior.

Radstock Town’s midweek victory at Larkhall Athletic has moved them six points clear of the bottom three while the Bees remain in huge danger ahead of some crucial fixtures that could shape their entire season.

Senior told Echosport: “Looking at the table, tomorrow’s game at Willand Rovers (3pm) is suddenly looking quite important.

“Radstock were down the bottom when we played them a few weeks ago but I always felt they were a better side than that and after a few results they are now up in mid-table with 22 points.

“We are currently on 17 and really need to start turning performances into results in the form of a couple of wins.

“I always knew December would be an important month for us but it is even more so now and three points tomorrow would make a huge difference.”

The Bees lost 4-1 at Poole Town on Tuesday night in the Dorset Senior Cup but Senior was encouraged by the display.

He added: “Willand have added a couple of new players by all accounts but if we play like we did at Poole Town we will stand every chance.

“Although we lost 4-1, Poole put out their full side and we more than matched them for most of the game.

“Ryan Dovell scored with a header to make it 1-1 before they then got a controversial second goal after what looked like a clear foul in the box.

“They then went on to grab two goals late on and we also finished with 10 men after Chris Clarke picked up another thigh injury and had to go off after we had used all our substitutions.

“Matt Condliffe also hurt his groin in the half-time warm-up so both him and Chris are now big doubts for tomorrow but apart from that everyone came through well in what was a really good performance.

“Hopefully we can go on and build on that now, start- ing with a good result tomorrow.”

Bridport currently sit fourth-bottom in the Toolsta-tion Western Premier Division and have only won two of their last 15 outings in all competitions.
