POOLE Under-11s 2
BRIDPORT Under-11s 19
AFTER a string of improving performances this was the game when the young Blues put it all together, to the evident pleasure of coaches and parents alike.
Spirited defending and determined pressure at the ruck led to a great deal of turnover ball.
Confidence was high and possession was turned into points as nearly every player got on the scoreboard.
This was largely due to strong direct running and a willingness to look for the telling pass to keep the move alive.
Poole had no answer to their visitors on this kind of form and went down by 19 tries to two.
Tries were scored by Abi Alner, Dom Burdett, Charlie Brake, Matt Elven (4), Henry Everitt (5), Daniel James, Barney Johnson (4) and Patrick May (2).
For a staunch defensive effort Dom Burdett was awarded tackler of the day, while Patrick May was player of the day for an all-action performance.
Wimborne are next up for Bridport.
