Blues face trip to Sherborne

BRIDPORT will return to action in Dorset & Wilts One South this Satur-day with a trip to Sherborne Seconds (2pm).

The Blues have not played since suffering a narrow defeat at Oakmea-dians on January 5 and are in desperate need of a victory this weekend against a North Dorset outfit that currently lie just three points above them in third place.

Bridport enjoyed a fantastic start to the campaign by winning their first four games but since then injuries and postponements have led to inconsistent form, which has seen them fall 12 points adrift of the top two.

However, a top-three finish is still well within their grasp and having beaten Sherborne 32-17 earlier in the campaign, confidence should be high on Saturday for another positive outcome.

They will also no doubt take heart from the Dorset All Blacks’ failure to win at home last time out. Their 13-0 defeat against second-bottom War-minster on January 12 was their first league reverse at Gainsborough Park this season.
