RACE TO THE LINE: A sprint finish at the QuadKids event
LODERS School has won the first ever QuadKids event at Sir John Colfox School.
Sixteen school teams, each of four boys and four girls, took part in four events – 75m sprint, vortex howler throw, standing long jump and 600m middle distance race.
The children scored points for each event and the team scores were aggregated to get the final results.
The winning Loders team had trained with Anna Willmore, herself a former national athlete. The event was organised by Irene Fairley, sports co-ordinator based at Colfox.
