Talented Colfox duo celebrate

DYNAMIC DUO: Liam Sayers and Rhys Hayter
TWO budding footballers at Colfox School in Bridport are celebrating for very different reasons.
Liam Sayers has just signed schoolboy forms with Portsmouth FC while fellow Year Nine pupil Rhys Hayter has been awarded with the Dorset County Under-14 Player of the Year award.
Colfox spokesman Andy David said: “Liam has been given the opportunity to live out many young footballers’ dream and it is a really great achievement for him. He plays as a striker and was scouted after several impressive performances for Bridport over the last season.
“Rhys has also had an outstanding season with Dorset Under-14s, so impressive in fact that he was asked to play a year above his age group.
“He is another very talented player that can play in a number of positions but normally operates in centre midfield.
“He finished the team’s top scorer and also netted a hat-trick along the way.”
