LYME Regis have welcomed the arrival of two new players to boost their midfield and forward lines.

The Seasiders have welcomed forward Joe Urquhart from Axminster and midfielder Tyler Wellman on dual registration forms with Sidmouth Town.

Lyme manager Mark Bailey said of Urquhart: “He is a pacy young forward with bags of potential.”

Wellman will help out when available as his club Sidmouth Town, who play two divisions above Lyme, have not got many games left.

Bailey said: “He is a really good player

“He is going to help us out because he is a Lyme lad and he is friends with a lot of the players.

“If they have not got a game and he wants to stay match fit then it makes sense for everybody.”

Bailey added “Obviously I am not going to start him in front ahead of a player that plays regularly for Lyme but if he wants to come and help on the bench and be part of it then of course he is welcome.”

Bailey thinks the two will be ineligible for the game on Saturday, against Alphington Seconds in the second round of the East Devon Senior Cup.

However, the two will be able to provide reinforcement to the Seasiders as they go into the closing stages of their league season.

Lyme currently have nine games left in the league and currently sit second with 27 points. and eight points behind table-toppers University of Exeter Seconds.
