BRIDPORT Aikido Club celebrated their 20th anniversary by hosting a five-day Summer School, taught by the head of KSMBDA, Sensei Phil Bolt (5th dan), from Swindon.

Students from Bridport, Bristol, Swindon and Kendal attended the course and completed 15 hours of training.

Sensei Phil Bolt also congratulated Bridport's teacher, Sensei Jake Birkett (3rd dan), on his 20 years of training with the organisation.

The club was founded in 1997 by Sensei Andrew Chamen and was handed over to Sensei Jake Birkett in 2003.

The club train on Wednesday evenings in the main hall at Bridport Leisure Centre from 7.40pm-9.40pm (Juniors finish at 8.40pm)
