ESTATE agent Jeremy Smith has landed a huge brown trout weighing 17lbs 1oz.
The Symonds And Sampson regional manager, who is based in Beaminster,, is well known for selling property but his main passion outside of work is fishing.
He has featured many times in both local and national publications with various catches and as well as fishing in the UK has travelled to Belize, Thailand, Australia, Florida, Mexico etc in pursuit of his quarry.
He is also an avid fly fisherman.
He has caught many double figure Rainbow trout but a large brown trout has always eluded him.
However, a recent trip to Dever Springs in Hampshire made his dreams come true when he landed the huge brown trout.
Smith said: "I saw the fish very early in the fight so it was pretty nerve-wracking, but the hook held firm and she was landed after around a 15 minute battle."
