AT THE NET: Kirk Pitman gives Colfox students some coaching tips
THE Sir John Colfox under-15 boys and girls' volleyball teams were treated to an expert training session with Kirk Pitman, international beach volleyball player and current head coach at the indoor beach volleyball centre at the LeAF Academy in Poole.
The event, was part of their final preparations for the Dorset School Games on March 23.
Both teams qualified to represent West Dorset at an earlier tournament but have had little experience on sand.
The opportunity to practice on the actual courts will hopefully give them the successful result they are looking for.
Some of the players have also now linked to the Beaminster Volleyball Club which takes place on Wednesday evening, indoors, at Beaminster School.
