SYMONDSBURY claimed a double in the West Dorset Primary Schools’ cross country race.
The boggy conditions did not deter runners at the second event in the series, which was held at Beaminster School.
There was a second victory this year for A team winners Symondsbury Girls and Parrett & Axe Boys, while Symondsbury also claimed the girls’ B race.
St Catherine’s boys’ B team also took a cup back to school.
Owen Pitcher (Salway Ash) and Anise Tucker (Symondsbury) proved themselves again, holding on to individual winners’ medals for a second time.
The third and final event is a relays competition, with two boys and two girls per team, due to be held at the Sir John Colfox School on Wednesday, March 16.
