JOHN White has finally been able to lay his hands on the prestigious Remedy Oak Golf Club singles matchplay glass trophy for a second time after successfully defending the title last year.
Director of Golf at Remedy Oak, Nigel Tokely, presented the prize to White, who is a member of Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club.
After emerging victorious through six rounds of match play, the final was a thrilling affair with White, playing off a handicap of nine, giving two strokes to his opponent.
White was one up after the 10th and then proceeded to par the remaining eight holes, securing victory with a four-foot putt on the last.
“To win at Remedy again is very special indeed and an achievement I am very proud of,” said White.
Remedy Oak is rated in the top 100 golf courses in the UK and is a qualifying venue for the Open Champ-ionship.
