TIM Edwards has had to call on Bantams’ stopper Mark Tozer to cover the suspended Chris Higgs for Lyme Regis’ tussle with Clyst Valley Reserves at Davey Fort on Saturday (2.15pm).

Tozer steps into the breach for the Devon & Exeter League Division Three clash with Seasiders’ boss Edwards going through something of a goalkeeping crisis at the moment.

Higgs is banned for three games after being sent off against Cheriton Fitzpaine and reserve-team number one Will Meech has a long-term knee ligament injury.

Lee Cleal would have gone between the sticks for Lyme but he has gone abroad for six months.

The reverse fixture between Lyme and Clyst was postponed last Saturday, though the reserves secured an emphatic 8-0 thrashing of Ilminster Colts in the Perry Street League Premier Division.

Bradley Rose netted a hat-trick on the day and will be looking to continue his scoring form when his side go to South Petherton. Lyme Bantams entertain Barrington in Division One.

Meanwhile, also in the Premier Division, Beaminster visit Ilminster following a 3-1 defeat to Perry Street last time out.
