LYME Regis boss Tim Edwards will want to see an upturn in his side’s form tonight and on Saturday as they gear up for the Dorset Intermediate Cup final.

A 5-0 win over Winsham, a 3-1 defeat by Crewkerne Town, and a 1-1 draw against Millwey Rise – all in the last seven days – has seen the Seasiders make a stuttering start to their push for the Perry Street League Premier Division title.

They go to Beaminster tonight (6.15pm) and host Misterton on Saturday (2.30pm) hoping for maximum points before their big cup final showdown against Allendale at St Mary’s Field in Bridport next Tuesday (7.45pm).

Lyme have moved up one place to fifth in the league table but are still 15 points behind leaders Crewkerne with six games in hand.

Meanwhile, Lyme Reserves are through to the final of the Arthur Gage Cup after a 2-1 win at Division One pacesetters South Petherton.

They will now play Perry Street Reserves in the final at Tatworth Playing Field on May 3, while, in the league, Lyme’s second string are home to Netherbury on Saturday (4.15pm).
