NORMALAIR RSL 1
LYME REGIS 1 (aet)
THESE two sides must do it all again at Davey Fort on Saturday (2.30pm) – meaning another weekend without a league game for the Seasiders.
Lyme and Yeovil outfit Normalair couldn’t be separated after 120 minutes of their Dorset Intermediate Cup semi-final last weekend, the hosts equalising late on following Julien Simier’s early strike.
And while Lyme boss Tim Edwards is confident his men have enough to win the replay, his concerns over the side’s fixture backlog are growing.
“We gave it everything we had on Saturday but it wasn’t enough,” he said. “The replay means no league game this weekend, then we’ve got another cup semi-final the weekend after and a free weekend following that.
“We’ve still got 13 league games to play in the last six or seven weeks of the season and we’re trying to keep everyone fit to play three matches a week.”
