ALL eyes will be on the weather forecast yet again this weekend as Lyme Regis prepare to host Misterton at Davey Fort on Saturday (2.30pm).
The Seasiders have had to put up with the frustration of five successive postponements since they last played at the start of December.
Just one game was possible in the Perry Street Premier League last Saturday and it produced a result that would have pleased Lyme boss Tim Edwards.
Second-placed Perry Street could only draw 1-1 at Combe Reserves, meaning that Lyme, in third, are now four points behind the former with five matches in hand.
Lyme have not played Misterton in the league this term but did beat them 4-2 after extra-time in the pre-season Chard Hospital Cup.
As for Lyme’s reserves, their home clash with Division One leaders South Petherton was also called off last time out – that made it six consecutive postponements for them.
They are without a game on Saturday but at Venlake, Uplyme entertain Beaminster Reserves in the Arthur Gage Cup (2pm).
