LYME Regis will be hoping it is fourth time lucky for them this weekend after three successive postponements.

Tim Edwards’ side last took to a football field on December 7 when they recorded a 2-0 win at Combe Reserves in the Perry Street Premier Division.

That was followed by a walkover against Parley Sports in the Dorset Intermediate Cup and a trio of matches called off because of the wet weather.

The Seasiders can finally get their new year up and running on Saturday when they go to Ilminster Reserves (2pm).

Lyme won the reverse fixture at Davey Fort 3-1 way back in September and currently lie third in the league table.

Ilminster sit one place off the bottom of the division with just two wins all season, those coming against Mister-ton and West & Middle Chinnock.

Meanwhile, Lyme Regis Reserves, in third place in Division One, host mid-table Barrington (2pm).
