LYME Regis return to league action at Misterton on Saturday (2pm) after receiving a surprise walkover in the quarter-finals of the Dorset Intermediate Cup.

Last weekend, the Perry Street Premier Division high-fliers were scheduled to host Parley Sports A in the last eight of the cup but the Bournemouth outfit pulled out, handing the Seasiders a free pass into the next round where they will now face either Normalair RSL, Allendale or Lytchett Red Triangle.

The semi-finals are set to take place on March 8 but before then manager Tim Edwards will be keen for his side to push on in the league.

Second-placed Lyme have won their last four in the Premier Division and will no doubt fancy their chances against Misterton, who currently sit eight points below them in seventh.

Misterton are unbeaten in their last three though, so the Seasiders cannot afford to take anything for granted as they continue to try and chase down Crewkerne Town at the top of the table.

The gap at the summit currently stands at four points with Lyme holding two games in hand.
