STEVE Harwood reigned supreme at West Bay Sea Angling Club’s latest Thursday night match at Abbotsbury.
Eighteen members signed up on a cold evening, with a strong westerly wind and falling tide making it difficult for all competitors.
But Harwood coped best in the conditions to land five dogfish and reel in 3.8kg in total.
Second-placed Lee Sherry caught three dogfish and one whiting while Hugh Rathbone came third with a 2.82lb cod, one dogfish and a single whiting.

Plenty of dogfish were caught, along with a smoothound and a sole, while two specimen whiting were reeled in by Mark Wickenden and Graham Stephenson.
Stephenson’s tipped the scales at 880g but on the overall count it was Kershaw who came out on top.

Thirteen competitors took part on a rainy day but it was Hugh Rathbone who claimed top spot with a bounty of 4.69kg, which included six dogfish and two pout.
Steven Rathbone finished close behind in second place and also won the heaviest fish pool award with an 880g dogfish.
