HARRY Fry has reflected on a first victory at Huntingdon for As I See It and Behind Time's first success at Uttoxeter over fences.

The victory at Uttoxeter on Saturday in the valuable novice handicap followed up Fry's win last year with American.

Fry said on his website: "It was a nice prize for a big horse who has been a work in progress this season and looked a fair bit sharper wearing cheek pieces for the first time.

"Behind Time had taken a step forward on his previous start at Ffos Las where he finished third despite racing behind the bridle and being a bit slow over some of his fences.

"Cheek pieces proved to be the final piece of the puzzle for him at Uttoxeter where he jumped well apart from a mistake at the fourth last and was well on top at the finish."

Fry described As I See It's victory as deserved after a series of consistent performances.

As I See It won the maiden three-mile hurdle, narrowly fending off Oakley Hall which providing a first success for owners Clare Clifford and Diana Goodall.

Harry Fry said: "They were both at Huntingdon to cheer on As I See It and his jockey Niall Madden who gave him a fine ride.

"I ran him in a maiden hurdle rather than a handicap because I felt his current mark of 130 was high enough for what he has achieved so far."

Fry added: "If he comes out of this race in good shape I will be tempted to turn him out again in a novice hurdle under a penalty.

"It is great to have the horses in top form as we turn our attention to Cheltenham over the next two days."

Meanwhile, Anthony Honeyball says he is proud of Acey Milan’s run into fourth place in the Festival bumper at Cheltenham on Thursday following on Ms Parfois’ narrow defeat on Tuesday.

The Mosterton handler said on his website: "He has been a star for us this season and did best of the British contenders in a seriously strong field of 23 runners.

"But he couldn’t quite cope with the Willie Mullins squad who finished first, second, third and fifth.

"In marked contrast, we have sent only two runners to the biggest jumps meeting of all and for them both to be placed was highly pleasing.

"Ms Parfois is unlikely to run again though we will keep her ticking over for a while in case conditions come up testing next month.

"Acey Milan will definitely not run again this season. The plan is to give him plenty of practise schooling over hurdles before putting him away for the summer."
