BRIDPORT boss Adam Fricker is aiming to maintain an impressive run of home form when the Bees entertain Chipping Sodbury Town in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division on Saturday (3pm).

Fricker’s men have won their past three games at St Mary’s Field, but have since seen games against Bitton and Longwell Green Sports cancelled due to waterlogged pitches.

Now Fricker is looking to overcome the “frustrating” postponements and claim three points against Town.

He told the Bridport News: “It’s frustrating but it’s unfortunately part and parcel of this level of football with the pitches and the weather.

“Last season our home form wasn’t great. It’s completely different from every angle. You want to be picking up maximum points at home.

“They are above us in the league. It will certainly not be an easy ride for us, but we’ll be going into it looking for the win.

“We played them a couple of times last season. They’ve had a change of manager this season and they’ve got a really good setup so they definitely like to get the ball down and play football.”

Leigh Bailey (suspension) and Mark Salter (work) will miss out for Bridport, but centre-back Louis Rutter could return to the starting line-up after a knee injury.

“Louis will be looking to return and Leigh’s going to be missing. He’s not available the following Saturday as well.

“Mark will be missing through work commitments. It’s not a bad thing for him to have a break. When he said he wasn’t available it was an opportunity to rest him,” Fricker said.
