SIX students from the Sir John Colfox Academy were selected to represent Dorset at the South-West Schools Championships in Truro.

Katie Evans, Lucy Selway and lea Devecsery (Year Seven), alongside Maddy Herbert (Year Nine), Manny Cox (Year 10) and Tom Crabtree (Year 11) to compete in appalling conditions, including heavy rain and thick mud.

Cox and Herbert were also selected to represent Dorset at the English School Championships for the second consecutive year.

The team also attended the Muller Grand Prix at the Birmingham Barclaycard Arena, where they were fortunate enough to see Laura Muir break the British 100m record, and see Mo Farah break his own indoor 5,000m European record.
