BRIDPORT go in search of their fifth league win of the campaign at St Mary’s Field on Saturday (3pm) against a Cribbs side they have unfinished business against.

Cribbs, who currently sit four places above the Bees in the Toolstation Western Premier Division in 12th spot at present, already have a victory over Adam Fricker’s men having beaten them 4-2 at Bridport in the FA Vase back in September.

Manager Fricker admitted his side’s second-half display lacked “heart, fight and spirit” on that occasion, having squandered a 2-1 lead at half-time.

But since then, performances and results have picked up in the Bridport camp, and the Bees’ boss is confident of putting things right this time round.

“We will go into it knowing that we didn’t do ourselves justice against Cribbs when we played them in the FA Vase,” he said.

“We need to be upping our game and looking to put one over on them, so to speak.”

Asked what needs to change on Saturday, Fricker replied: “I think we need to turn up for the second half!

“We were in complete control of the game against them last time and we just completely collapsed. It was probably the most disappointing 45 minutes of football we have had this season at Bridport.

“We haven’t seen that of late and in the last four or five weeks the lads have looked really solid. I would not expect to see that again.

“Over the last few weeks, performances and results wise, we have been on a decent run. There is no doubt that confidence is high in the camp.”

Louis Rutter and Braeden Symes are set to return for the Bees this weekend, Fricker is also hopeful Elliot Mann will be fit. Adam Barrett is still injured and Leigh Bailey is suspended.
