ROBIN Townsend has been named as the new Lyme Regis boss, stepping up from his role as assistant manager.
He helped interim manager Rob Thom guide the Seasiders to their second promotion in two years as they finished runners-up in the Devon & Exeter League Division Two last season.
Townsend has had two previous stints in charge of the Davey Fort outfit, firstly in 2009-10 and 2011-12 where he had great league and cup success.
Since then he has worked with Bridport Reserves, but is back to lead the Seasiders as they head into the Devon & Exeter League Division One looking for their third promotion in three years.
Last season's interim manager Rob Thom will continue as club secretary.
