SUE Walsh retained the Bridport Bowls Club's ladies' singles title after a titanic battle against Pamela Daters.
Daters seemed to have tied the title tied up 20-20 but her wood ended an agonising quarter of an inch long to leave Walsh the champion 21-19.
Mike Long picked up the men's title, with a comfortable 21-10 success over Ivor Parker.
Long also won the club pairs with Brian Rumble in a thrilling finish that saw them score a one count to beat father and son combination Martin
and Steven Grier 18-17.
Brian Galpin and Ivor Parker won the men's pairs in another thriller, 18-17, this time Long and Rumble missing out, as Galpin put his wood right on the jack for the victory.
Rumble won the twowood singles after a strong finish over Ann Turtell and with Frances Hewett won the the mixed pairs plate trophy 26-14 over Sylvia and Mike Fletcher.
This capped a fine season for Rumble as he picked up the county's personality of the year award.
Against the Fletcher's, Hewett and Rumble were 13-8 down early on with Sylvia leading superbly but experience told in the end.
Keith Jenkins and John Boxall were locked at 18-18 in the rookies' final, Jenkins taking the title with a three count, 21-18.
Keith Brooks and Annie Legg opened up with 4-3 counts and went on to win the mixed pairs 23-14 over Ann Turtell and Steve Way.
